Exercises

  1. At the time this module was being written, the prevalence of obesity is one of the top health concerns. Fast foods, french fries in particular, are coming under fire from some health advocates. Some public schools are debating whether to ban french fries from cafeteria lunches. What principles from the Public Health Code of Ethics would be important to consider in this debate?
  2. Assuming (or imagining) that you work in a public health agency, how might the agency use the Code of Ethics to create an ethical climate? What else, besides the Code, would be important for promoting the ethical practice of public health?
